We are hunkered down and we hope you are too. We have enough essential. Our grocery store seems to be restocking well. Georgia and I are actually getting a buttload of work done while we are in isolation. It’s scary but we try not to overdose on the news right now. We sincerely hope you all are staying safe and healthy.
Our show on Stageit last Wednesday went great!!! We had almost 150 people and we hope to have more THIS Wednesday!! Here are some observations:
Laptop cameras LOVE drums. That is why Georgia and I spent most of the show going in and out of focus. The camera spotted those drums and could not look away!!! Next time we are going to put up a backdrop behind us (That’s why the call it a BACK drop. Because it’s behind us. If it was in front of us it would be a front drop. I should just refer to it from now on as a “drop”)
We need to set up several screens for all the different things we need. We need the screen with the camera to be the perfect distance away. Close enough to hear us…but far enough away so I don’t look like Keith Richards. We need another screen so that the messages people send us are legible. Remember the Keith Richards crack? Well he probably can’t read as well as HE could when he was twenty, either. I need the messages close enough so I can read the names of who’s watching. Those old friends aren’t going to insult themselves.
Making a running order is futile. I think we should just yell, “What y’all want,” like a Cracker Barrel waitress and start playing. Once again this relates to how legible the screen with requests is so that I can perform without my glasses on…so I can fool everyone that I’m much, much younger than I am. Unless glasses are sexy. Are glasses sexy? I don’t get Maxim magazine anymore. What’s the latest poll say?
We need some sexy ass lighting down here in the studio. One by one we tested every cool lamp we had and they all made us look like we were “LIVE from Chernobyl!!!”
Well, that’s all I got. Tune in Wednesday. 8:30 PM. That’s CST. Nashville time, baby!
We are a work in progress. We have all the time in the world. Ain’t going nowhere. Nothing much to do.
Might as well learn how to be internet rock stars.
